1. The agreement
Tierlink is operated by [Legal entity name], [Street address, postcode, city, country]. By creating an account or
using the Tierlink apps, API or website, you agree to these terms and to our
Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use
Tierlink.
2. What Tierlink is — and is not
Tierlink is a platform where people who care for pets can present themselves, and where pet
owners can find them, follow them and message them. That is the whole of what we provide.
Tierlink does not take bookings, hold money, process payments or handle deposits, and it does
not employ, endorse, vet, background-check or insure the people listed on it. Prices shown on
a profile are set by that person and are indicative only. Any arrangement about care, dates,
prices or payment is made directly between you and the other person, and it is entirely
theirs and yours — we are not a party to it and we do not mediate disputes about it.
Decide for yourself whether someone is right for your pet. Meet first, ask questions, ask for
references, and agree in writing what will happen and what it costs.
3. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding
agreement.

You sign in with Google, Apple, an email address or a phone number. Keep that sign-in
secure; anything done through your account is treated as done by you.

Give accurate information and keep it current — your name, your address and, if you offer
services, what you offer and what it costs.

One account per person. Do not impersonate anyone, and do not create an account for someone
else without their authority.
4. Your public profile
Your profile is public: anyone with the link can see your name, photos, pets, posts, services
and your area, whether or not they have a Tierlink account. Your email address and phone
number are never shown. You control how precisely your address is published — the
Privacy Policy explains exactly what each
setting reveals. Do not put anything on your profile that you are not happy to have read by
anyone.
Usernames are between 3 and 30 characters, lower case, and may contain letters, digits and
underscores. Some names are reserved. We may reclaim a username that infringes someone's
rights, impersonates another person or is chosen to mislead.
5. Your content
Everything you add — profile details, pet details, posts, photos and messages — stays yours.
To run the service we need permission to store it and to show it to the people it is meant
for, so you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize,
re-encode and display your content for the purpose of operating and promoting Tierlink. The
licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where someone has already
received it, such as a message.
You confirm that you own your content or have the right to post it, that photos of other
people are posted with their agreement, and that nothing you post infringes anyone's rights.
Posts and messages carry up to 10 photos each; photos are re-encoded and resized when you
upload them.
6. Rules of conduct
Do not use Tierlink to:
- harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against anyone;
- post content that is illegal, hateful, sexual, violent or cruel to animals;
- sell or trade animals, or offer anything unlawful;
- post anything false or misleading about yourself, your services or your prices;
- spam other users, or send unsolicited advertising through messages or service requests;

collect data about other users, scrape the service, or access the API by automated means
other than through our apps;

work around the technical limits of the service — rate limits, upload limits or access
controls — or attempt to reach data that is not yours;

probe, disrupt or overload the service, upload malware, or reverse engineer any part of it
except where the law expressly allows.

7. If you offer pet services
Listing boarding, drop-in visits, walking, day care or grooming on Tierlink means you offer
those services on your own account, as an independent provider, not as our employee, agent or
partner. You are responsible for:

holding any registration, licence, permit or insurance your local law requires for the care
of animals, and for meeting animal welfare law;

your own tax, social security and accounting obligations for what you earn;

describing your services and prices accurately, and keeping them current — prices are
published in the currency you set, and shown to others as a starting price;

the care itself: the safety, health and wellbeing of every animal in your care, and any
agreement you make with its owner.
Switch your service profile off at any time and you stop appearing in Explore.
8. If you are looking for care

Describe your pet honestly, including its age, its health, its vaccinations and any
behaviour a carer needs to know about.

Satisfy yourself about the person you choose. Tierlink does not check, approve or guarantee
anyone.

Agree the details — dates, price, what happens in an emergency, veterinary consent — with
the carer directly, before care starts.
- Your pet remains your responsibility, including its insurance and its veterinary care.
9. Messaging
Messages are for arranging and discussing pet care. They are stored on our servers and are
not end-to-end encrypted; the
Privacy Policy explains how we handle
them. You can delete a message you sent, which erases its text. If you allow push
notifications, a preview of an incoming message is delivered to your device through Google's
push service.
10. Availability and changes
Tierlink is provided as it is and as it happens to be available. We do not promise
uninterrupted service, and we may add, change, suspend or withdraw features, including ones
you rely on. We will give reasonable notice of a change that materially reduces the service,
unless the change is needed for security or the law.
11. Suspension and ending the agreement
You can stop using Tierlink whenever you like and delete your account from the app. Deletion
is immediate and cannot be undone; what it erases is listed in the
Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that puts an animal or a person
at risk, or that we must act on by law. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why
and give you a chance to put it right. Sections that by their nature should survive — your
content licence for content already received, disclaimers, liability and governing law —
continue to apply afterwards.
12. Our intellectual property
The Tierlink name, logo, apps, website and software are ours and are protected by
intellectual property law. Using Tierlink gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to
use the apps for their intended purpose — nothing more.
13. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, Tierlink is provided without warranties of any kind. In
particular we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that
content posted by users is accurate, lawful or complete, or that any person listed on
Tierlink is suitable, qualified, insured or trustworthy. Nothing here limits rights you have
as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement.
14. Liability
We are liable without limit for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for intent
and gross negligence, and wherever the law makes liability mandatory. Otherwise our liability
is limited to foreseeable damage typical of this kind of agreement arising from breach of a
material obligation, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
We are not liable for what happens between users: the conduct of any user, the care given to
an animal, injury to or loss of an animal, property damage, or any agreement, payment or
dispute between users. Those are matters between the people involved.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [Germany]. The courts of
[Berlin, Germany] have jurisdiction, except that if you use Tierlink as a consumer you may
also bring proceedings where you live, and mandatory consumer protections of your country of
residence still apply.
If any provision of these terms is invalid, the rest continues to apply.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Tierlink develops. We will change the date at the top and, for
material changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Tierlink
after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, delete your account.
